Warm Spaces
As the cost of living crisis continues, many are under unprecedented pressures. We know that Gateshead is an area which suffers from higher levels of poverty compared to others nationally, and many are being forced into making tough decisions due to financial pressures.
Gateshead council has worked to support the local community through the launch of over 90 warm spaces in the local area, ensuring all residents have somewhere to come together to stay warm. Visitors can expect a warm space and a warm welcome, with all treated equally, with dignity and respect. The spaces are designed to be safe, and you can access them confidentially.
